The necktie is a long part of cloth worn around the neckline, resting below the shirt collar and knotted at the throat. The new necktie, ascot, and bow tie are descended from the cravat. Men wear neckties as part of usual office clothing or formal wear. Neckties can also be worn as part of a uniform. Neck ties are normally unsized, but may be obtainable in longer size. A shirt and tie may be worn by a big shot as casual wear, but without a jacket nor a simple shirt, but a striped dark-colored shirt with a striped black tie, therefore avoiding the business-like look.
